Texas A&M Women Win First Conference Title

Congratulations to the Texas A&M women! They won their first Big 12 Championship Title on Saturday night at Municipal Auditorium.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A'Quonesia Franklin had 19 points and hit four free throws in the final 22 seconds, helping No. 11 Texas A&M hold off No. 18 Oklahoma State 64-59 Saturday night to win its first Big 12 tournament championship.
   
Texas A&M (26-7) led most of the second half, but had to withstand a furious Oklahoma State rally in the closing minutes.

Big 12 Final: No. 5 Kansas vs. No. 6 Texas

Sunday's final will see a match-up between No. 5 Kansas and No. 6 Texas for the third year in a row. The Longhorns hope to knock off the two-time defending champion Jayhawks. Tip off is at 2 p.m.

After the game, 65 teams across the country will find out if they'll be dancing next weekend. The KC Live! Block is hosting a Selection Sunday watch party from 4 - 7 p.m., and myfoxkc.com will be live blogging from the event!

Local video blogger finds FOX 4 crews downtown

Local vblogger Ramsey caught up with FOX 4 Sports Director Frank Boal, FOX 4 Reporter Dave Froehlich and myfoxkc.com Producer Whitney on Friday night at the KC Live! Block. The trio talked about their time spent covering Power & Light and the Big 12 Tournament... and how weird it was to be the ones being interviewed for once!

Saturday, Day 3

Things were hopping in the Power and Light District, as day three of the BIG XII Tourney began.

Never mind the cold, KU fans were out in royal blue mingling before their big game at 3 p.m. against Texas A&M.

Fans from Texas and Oklahoma were also out, decked out in their school colors before their match up at 1 o'clock.
